So, this has been a long time coming. I've always wanted to do this, I just didn't think it was possible.
An animated version of Cody's Superheroes. It's like a dream.
I've written two different scripts, based on two different stories, one of which became the comic as it exists.
I've always meant to go back and revise it, redraw it in a style I like better, and so I also figured if I was going to do that, I might as well do the original version of the story, not the shortened comic version. I don't know where that version even came from. I guess I thought I'd lost the original story, and that was what I remembered.
Well, I found the original, wrote a script from it (which needs to be revised again), and discovered I could maybe make this happen.
If it hadn't been for a YouTube animation tutorial, I wouldn't be writing this now. An artist named Jazza, who does animations on Newgrounds, explained to me that I should be using Flash to do animations.
Obviously, but the main point of contention on my part was the drawing. Endless drawing. Thanks to two wonderful tools, Keyframe Caddy and VCam (plus the fact that I didn't know Flash had onion-skinning), I don't have to draw endlessly. I can just map out the majority of the parts required, and drop them where I need them.
So, here I shall post the progress as it happens, for posterity, and probably not anyone but myself to actually read.
